Elisabeth is a highly qualified and experienced music teacher specializing in the flute and recorder. She is a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians. She holds a BA mus. degree in Early music performance (wooden flutes and recorders) and music education. She has also completed additional teaching courses such as the ABRSM music teaching course including child safeguarding. For years she has worked with adults and children alike and taught in a wide variety of settings such as after school classes in primary and secondary schools, specialized music schools and one-to-one teaching in person or online. Elisabeth teaches the flute, recorder and tin whistle from beginner level to advanced. All ages are welcome from 6 years onwards. Elisabeth is a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher who loves to share her passion for music with others. She has over 10 years of experience and is also an active performer with various ensembles.
In her lessons, she focuses on building strong technique, good sound and also the wider aspects of becoming a musician such as music theory, listening skills, improvisation, musical context and style. Most importantly, she always makes lessons fun and engaging, keeping you motivated on your journey. While practice and the right technique is very important, enjoying the music is even more so!
